up's & downs

Every relationship has its ups and downs. When there are more downs and fewer ups, less laughs and more tears, it may be time to end to it. Many people stay in relationships in hopes the other person might change, or because they feel insecure in finding new ones, or they don't want to go through the pain severing a connection usually brings. When a relationship doesn't feel right and we are unhappy, no matter how many reasons we may find for staying, there are more than twice as many for leaving. If you are bringing out the worst in each other, it is insane to try and either salvage the remnants of what once was, or to hold on to the fantasy of what could have been. Good relationships improve all areas of our lives.. they strengthen our minds, our health and our spirit. Toxic, stressful relationships affect all aspects of our lives in a negative way.. they drain us, are unhealthy to the body, to the mind and to  the spirit. These negative relationships have the potential to cause a lot of damage, from which we may never totally recover. Be brutally and painfully honest, ask yourself what it is you expect from a relationship; is the other person caring, is there trust and communication, are they supportive, respectful, have you considered ending the relationship before? You owe it to yourself to let go and move on; this is an act of self love, you deserve happiness in your relationships and it is up to you to take responsibility and take the first step..
